HOW TO ADD A POWER POINT SHOW TO YOUR CD ROM PORTFOLIO
Step by Step Instructions
  1. Open Windows Explorer and copy your Power Point show into your CD Rom directory. For directions on how to copy files, go to:

  2. Open Photoshop and create a link button with the name of the slideshow on it that can be used as a link to the show. You link can be 150 pixels wide by 30 pixels high.

  3. Open Mediator Pro - Go to Start -> Programs -> Matchware -> Click on Mediator 7, then open your CD Rom portfolio file.

  4. Insert the link button into the page in your cd rom where you want the link to be. For example, you could create a slideshow page and put links to all your slideshows on that page. You could also put your slideshow links on your personal page or a science page,etc.

    To insert your button, select the picture tool, then drag a small box on the page.




  5. Right click on the link image, click events, click on external TAB.
    Then Drag Mouse Click to the window, then drag Open DOC to the window.






  6. A new window pops up. In that window, type in the EXACT name of the slideshow IN-BETWEEN THE QUOTES, including the extention, for example, "science_slideshow.ppt". ALSO, UNCHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS "Disable Mediator until application ends."




  7. Test the link and slideshow by clicking on the Check Page Checkmark at the top of Mediator 7 Pro.
