| Homeless Issues
Project at Young Achievers School
This project on homelessness will explore issues related to
homeless through students generating pre- project questions,
circle discussions, film viewing, writing of reflections, poems,
slide shows about homelessness, and other writings, and presenting
their findings to school community meetings for the grade 4-5
group and the middle school group, grades 6-8. Various events
will be filmed to document information and discussion. Guest
participants from the legal community and the homeless community
will be invited to attend and take part in the discussions.
We will be viewing 3 or 4 films about homeless. Discussion
will follow the viewing and students will be asked to generate
essays and reflections to the films.
