BELOW ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING YOUR ORIGINAL BANNER AND LINK BUTTONS

You will need to create your Name Banner for your Portfolio and Your Link Buttons such as a button for Home, a button for Photos, Graphics, etc. using Adobe Photoshop. Some of you have already created your name banner this year. You must create a new one for the portfolio. You cannot use the one you created last year for your web site.

1. Open Adobe Photoshop and Create Your Name Banner and Link Buttons. You name banner must be 640 pixels wide and approximately 100 or 150 pixels high.

If you work hard and concentrate on doing the work, the results will show. When you get to high school you will be expected to work hard and complete the assignments. The work that you do in high school will determine your future regarding college and a future career. It is important now to establish you work habits now.

If you don't see a blank web page, go to File at the top, then click on New.
2. Once you have typed the title, SAVE THE FILE IN YOUR NAMED DIRECTORY ON YOUR "H" DRIVE RIGHT AWAY BEFORE YOU DO ANY MORE WORK ON IT. Please remember the File Naming Rules, all lower case letters and no spaces.
3. Begin listing the books, poems, and other things that you have read. We will be making a link to the Reading page from your home web page.
4. After you make the list of books that you are reading, write a paragraph about each book. The paragraph should include a description of what it was about, your reaction to the book, and information about the book that other people might be interested in.
